The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umino darts in looking for a takedown but Petrovski gets double underhooks and turns Umino into the cage.

Petrovski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Umino wants to stand but Petrovski is controlling the position.

A close round but Tetsuya Umino will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Petrovski throws a sloppy head kick and Umino moves out of range easily.
We've been informed that Umino has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Petrovski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Petrovski lands in his opponent's guard.
Petrovski stands and throws Umino's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Petrovski controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrovski tries to stand but Umino is controlling his head.

Umino is looking to regain half guard here but Petrovski keeps moving and retains side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Umino can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Umino wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Petrovski has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Umino's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Umino is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Petrovski!
