PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leeland Lillard (ranked 339 p4p, 52 weight class) and Risto Rautio (ranked 449 p4p, 74 weight class). Rautio has chosen mickey avalon as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lillard pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rautio crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lillard - the referee stops the clock and Rautio gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lillard. Rautio manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lillard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rautio can pounce on him.

Rautio scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lillard takes a swing at Rautio's ribcage but misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lillard lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rautio has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rautio and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Rautio has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

A nice side step and Rautio releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Lillard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Lillard is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Lillard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rautio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lillard moves away.
Rautio blocks a low kick nicely.
Rautio takes a kick to the side of the head.

and Rautio counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lillard thinking.
