PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philo Beddo (ranked 892 p4p, 148 weight class) and Andy Bangsit (ranked 1726 p4p, 269 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Philo Beddo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangsit closes the distance and clinches up with Beddo, looking for a takedown. Bangsit pushes Beddo against the cage but Beddo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bangsit has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Beddo is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Bangsit shoots in and bounces Beddo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Beddo looking for a sweep. Not yet Beddo, not yet.
Beddo wants to get back to his feet but Bangsit is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Beddo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bangsit's guard.


Bangsit has his foot on Beddo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beddo works his way back into a safe position though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beddo is working Bangsit over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Beddo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bangsit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beddo has managed to get both his arms back between Bangsit's legs - danger averted.

Bangsit will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Beddo wants to pass the guard but Bangsit is keeping the position.
Beddo stands up over Bangsit, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bangsit has momentary wrist control but Beddo slips an elbow through the middle.
Bangsit tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bangsit is trying to get back to full guard.
Bangsit throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Beddo seems to be working for a kimura but Bangsit defends the submission attempt.

Beddo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Beddo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Beddo connects with a nice short shot to Bangsit's temple.

Beddo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Bangsit makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bangsit.

Bangsit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beddo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beddo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Philo Beddo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Beddo drops Bangsit with a beautiful combination! Bangsit stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Beddo is looking for the KO!


Bangsit is rocked!
Beddo fakes the body blow, causing Bangsit to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Bangsit goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Philo Beddo!
Philo Beddo bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
