Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Sunchez (ranked 2036 p4p, 241 weight class) and Rei Kolton (ranked 2960 p4p, 327 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex Sunchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rei Kolton!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kolton can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kolton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sunchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sunchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kolton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Sunchez will probably get the nod.

Alex Sunchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kolton is looking to control Sunchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kolton avoid being mounted?

Sunchez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

I think Kolton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

An out of breath Rei Kolton thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Alex Sunchez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I knew that winning this fight will be hard. And loosing this fight is not end of my career, i promise to be back in future fights better. I apologise to all my fans but next time i wont let you guys down. I need a rematch......'.
