Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jayden Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Jacobs does no damage.
Jacobs misses with a double jab.
Jacobs misses with a body shot
and I Can counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jacobs throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and I Can counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jacobs is trying to escape back to his feet but I Can uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I Can wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobs keeps working.
I Can moves into full mount!

I Can working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I Can moves to the back position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I Can biding his time, looking for the opening.
Jacobs is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get I Can off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
I Can misses with an elbow to the head.
I Can trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Jacobs doesn't escape.
Jacobs is keeping busy.

Jacobs preventing the rear naked choke attempt from I Can.
I Can looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Jacobs looking very determined here, making life difficult for I Can.

Jacobs is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Jacobs prevents I Can from getting a body triangle.

I Can looking for the RNC.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

I Can is looking for a choke. Jacobs gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Jacobs manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

I Can working for a triangle but Jacobs defends it easily.
I Can looking for a sweep. Not yet I Can, not yet.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jacobs working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jacobs postures up.
Jacobs has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of I Can is proving hard to escape from.
I Can is trying to keep Jacobs in close.
Jacobs being controlled here momentarily.
I Can tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Because I Can dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Jacobs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and I Can cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jacobs looks to land a right hand but I Can moved out of range.
Left hook, right uppercut from Jacobs.
Jacobs misses with a lunging right hand
and I Can counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
I Can slips a jab and a cross from Jacobs.
Jacobs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and I Can counters with a left to the body.
Jacobs needs to keep his hands up - I Can had a free shot at his head there.
I Can lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jacobs backs up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
I Can bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
I Can is looking to counter punch.
I Can connects with a body shot.
Nice jab there from I Can.
I Can dodges the punch combination from Jacobs.
The fighters circling - Jacobs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A big right from Jacobs misses.
Jacobs gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
I Can ducks under a wild hook from Jacobs.
Because I Can is winning the standup battle so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

I Can closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jacobs's guard.
Because I Can overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jacobs is breathing heavily.
I Can sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jacobs's guard.
I Can is trying to control the action in half guard but Jacobs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
I Can passes to side control.
I Can trying to control the action but Jacobs is working from the bottom.
I Can cracks Jacobs with a big elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jacobs takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

I Can is trying to get an arm triangle but Jacobs is defending well.
I Can is staying tight to Jacobs's torso, preventing him from escaping.
I Can wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobs keeps working.
I Can controlling from side mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jacobs can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

I Can thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
I Can wants to control but Jacobs is keeping him busy.

I Can is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jacobs is trying to escape and I Can transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jacobs is forced to tap! Nice work there by I Can! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Because I Can!
