The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez gets a clinch.
Perez lands a damaging elbow.
Donkashane drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Donkashane looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Perez lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Perez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Perez tries to bum rush Donkashane with a series of wild strikes but Donkashane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Donkashane takes the fight into the clinch.
Perez prevents a body shot from Donkashane.
Perez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Donkashane's efforts to push away.
Donkashane swings wildly with an uppercut but Perez uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donkashane is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Maybe Donkashane would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.
Donkashane blocks a body shot from Perez.
Perez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Donkashane gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Perez pulls Donkashane into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Donkashane trying to control the position from guard on top but Perez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Perez is looking for a triangle but Donkashane pushes his legs off easily.
Donkashane is looking to pass into half guard but Perez pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Perez is in guard.

Perez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Donkashane has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Perez is looking to defend but Donkashane has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Perez! Donkashane pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Perez taps out and this one is all over!
