Imbert kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Welcome to the jungle-by GUNS N ROSES. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wills dodges the punch combination from Imbert.
Imbert connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Wills takes one to the side of the head.
Imbert lands a head shot.
Wills ducks right into an uppercut from Imbert.
Imbert loads up on a big right hand but Wills slips the punch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wills has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The fighters circling - Imbert throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wills shoots in but no luck this time.
It looked like Imbert wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Imbert has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Imbert keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice takedown defense from Imbert. No joy for Wills on that attempt.
Jason Imbert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Wills.

Wills shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Imbert manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
