The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bills throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Meadows tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bills is in Meadows's guard.

Bills slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Bills decides to stand back up. Bills steps back and let's Meadows get back to his feet.
Bills will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Meadows appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Bills gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meadows is trying to pull guard but Bills has him pressed against the cage.
Meadows misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bills.

Bills escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Meadows tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bills manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bills clinches up with Meadows and pushes him back against the cage.

Bills's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bills. That's going to slow Meadows down.

Bills scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bills scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Meadows to see if he's OK.

Bills wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Meadows, who protects the arm well.
Meadows is pushing Bills's head away, looking to escape. Bills manages to hold on to the position though.
Bills is looking to take a break and control but Meadows is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meadows wants to get back to his feet but Bills drags him back down.
Bills wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meadows keeps working.

Meadows is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Meadows is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bills's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bills is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Meadows defends it well.
Meadows tries to kick Bills off but Bills keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ground and pound from Bills.
Bills passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Meadows!
Meadows swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bills goes for an armbar but Meadows turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Meadows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Meadows's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bills closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Meadows tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bills manages to move to mount!

Meadows is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Bills loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Meadows scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Bills land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Bills stands and salutes the crowd.
