Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack McAuliffe (ranked 6481 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Baldwin (ranked 6897 p4p, 581 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McAuliffe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Napoleon of the Ring. Baldwin has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baldwin moves away from the strike by McAuliffe.
McAuliffe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McAuliffe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
McAuliffe moves in looking to clinch but Baldwin pushes him off.
McAuliffe misses with a series of wild punches.
Baldwin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McAuliffe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baldwin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McAuliffe throws a right hand that Baldwin ducks under and follows up with a left that Baldwin also avoids with ease.
Baldwin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of McAuliffe's head.
McAuliffe tries to clinch but Baldwin is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brandon Baldwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McAuliffe is looking to wear down Baldwin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A nice leg kick lands there from Baldwin.

Baldwin lands a big head kick that sends McAuliffe tumbling to the mat! Baldwin takes a step backwards and waves McAuliffe back to his feet - he wants the finish!

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Baldwin has cracked McAuliffe with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Baldwin lands another huge swinging hook and McAuliffe tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save McAuliffe, before Baldwin can land any more shots!
