Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Jonhson Jr (ranked 3433 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Kasperski (ranked 4574 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawid Kasperski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anthony Jonhson Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dawid Kasperski!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasperski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kasperski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jonhson Jr as he jumps to the side.

Jonhson Jr feints and as Kasperski raises his hands in defense, Jonhson Jr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jonhson Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kasperski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kasperski throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jonhson Jr controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kasperski thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kasperski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kasperski striking off his back but it's not causing Jonhson Jr any problems.
Jonhson Jr lands a couple of elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kasperski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kasperski is on top in guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jonhson Jr tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kasperski manages to circle out of the way.
Anthony Jonhson Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dawid Kasperski.

Kasperski lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jonhson Jr moves out of range as Kasperski throws a body kick.
As Kasperski looks to move away, Jonhson Jr throws a big counter combo but Kasperski just gets out of the way.
Jonhson Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Kasperski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jonhson Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jonhson Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Kasperski, looking for a takedown. Jonhson Jr pushes Kasperski against the cage but Kasperski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kasperski dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jonhson Jr. That did some damage!
Jonhson Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kasperski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jonhson Jr somewhat.

Kasperski drives through and clinches with Jonhson Jr against the cage.

Kasperski wants a takedown.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Jonhson Jr fails to pull guard.
Jonhson Jr misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kasperski.
Kasperski is looking to take this one to the mat.
Kasperski has Jonhson Jr pressed against the cage, preventing Jonhson Jr from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jonhson Jr lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kasperski or not.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kasperski goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jonhson Jr prevents it.
Jonhson Jr wants to take the fight to the mat but Kasperski manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Jonhson Jr will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jonhson Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Kasperski sprawls well. He's pushed Jonhson Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jonhson Jr moves into range and clinches up with Kasperski.

Kasperski gets control of Jonhson Jr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kasperski will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jonhson Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kasperski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kasperski wants to sweep here but Jonhson Jr controlling him for the moment.

Jonhson Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kasperski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jonhson Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Kasperski's legs - danger averted.
Kasperski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kasperski wants to stand up but Jonhson Jr is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kasperski wants to hit a switch here but Jonhson Jr passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kasperski there!

Jonhson Jr is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kasperski has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kasperski tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jonhson Jr misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kasperski is looking to improve his position but Jonhson Jr isn't that keen on the idea.
Kasperski wants to hold on but Jonhson Jr pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kasperski is trying desperately to improve position.

Kasperski wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Jonhson Jr has control of Kasperski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kasperski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jonhson Jr is looking to take a break and control but Kasperski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jonhson Jr dives in and grabs Kasperski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kasperski pushes down on Jonhson Jr's head and hops out.
Kasperski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jonhson Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Kasperski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kasperski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jonhson Jr.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kasperski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kasperski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jonhson Jr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kasperski counters with a big head kick but Jonhson Jr shrugs it off.
Jonhson Jr shoots in but Kasperski avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kasperski gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Jonhson Jr tries to pull guard but Kasperski holds him up against the cage and eventually Jonhson Jr drops back down to his feet.

Kasperski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jonhson Jr pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kasperski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kasperski throws a one two combo.
Jonhson Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kasperski tries to avoid it but Jonhson Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kasperski to the ground. Kasperski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jonhson Jr has closed the distance and engaged Kasperski in a clinch.

Kasperski pulls Jonhson Jr into guard.
Jonhson Jr wants to stand but Kasperski has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kasperski is on top in guard.


Jonhson Jr looking for a guillotine here but Kasperski defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dawid Kasperski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jonhson Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
