Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yuta Kubo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Blanco!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kubo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Blanco. That did some damage!
Blanco wants to clinch but Kubo slips to the side
and Kubo counters with a good low kick that Blanco was not able to check.
Kubo fails with a takedown attempt.
Kubo misses with the combination.
Blanco darts in looking for a takedown but Kubo gets double underhooks and turns Blanco into the cage.
Kubo avoids the head kick by Blanco.
Kubo shoots and misses
and Blanco counters with a one-two to the body.

Kubo scores with a takedown into Blanco's guard.
Kubo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kubo wants to pass the guard but Blanco is keeping the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blanco looking for a guillotine here but Kubo defends easily.

Blanco is trying to keep Kubo in close.
Kubo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blanco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blanco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kubo throws an elbow that misses. Blanco uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kubo's guard. Nice move by Blanco!

Kubo wants to sweep but no luck.
Blanco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kubo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kubo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blanco manages to get himself to full guard.

Kubo throws a strike but Blanco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Blanco wants to control from the top but Kubo keeps moving.
Kubo wants to sweep here but Blanco controlling him for the moment.
Kubo has a closed guard, preventing Blanco from standing up.
Blanco trying to control the position from guard on top but Kubo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Blanco advances to half guard.
Kubo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blanco on the ground.

Kubo is looking for a sweep. Blanco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kubo is looking to get back to full guard here but Blanco has managed to pass to side control instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Blanco in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kubo is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
