Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aspen Springfield (ranked 3875 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernest Harpik (ranked 4312 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harpik shoots for a takedown but Springfield saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Springfield throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Springfield stuffs the takedown.
Harpik dives in for a single leg takedown but Springfield sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Aspen Springfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ernest Harpik.
Springfield thuds a left hand into Harpik's body.

Harpik will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Springfield displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harpik.
Harpik shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Springfield pinned against the cage. Springfield gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Springfield keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Harpik shoots for a double leg takedown but Springfield sprawls well. He's pushed Harpik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Harpik in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Harpik is working Springfield over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Harpik wants to control from the top but Springfield keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harpik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Springfield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harpik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Harpik has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Springfield to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Harpik is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Springfield pulls down on the head and he's put Harpik to sleep! This one is all over!
