Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gator Waldo (ranked 5276 p4p, 177 weight class) and Stand Only (ranked 24240 p4p, 137 weight class). Waldo comes to the ring accompanied by Gunna - Sold Out Dates ft Lil Baby. Only comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kimi Ga Yo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gator Waldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stand Only!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Only fails to land with a series of punches.
Only misses with the combination.
Only throws a right hand that Waldo ducks under and follows up with a left that Waldo also avoids with ease.
Waldo dodges the punch combination from Only.
Waldo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Waldo avoids a punch combination nicely.

Waldo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Only was covering up waiting for the punch and Waldo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Waldo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Waldo throws a big elbow that misses.
Only is wriggling around but Waldo manages to pass to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Waldo in particular looking to stall.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Waldo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Only's head.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Waldo in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Waldo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Only will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Waldo is looking to counter punch.

Only tries to bum rush Waldo with a series of wild strikes but Waldo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Waldo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Waldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That was a close round but I would say that Gator Waldo will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stand Only seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Waldo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Onlys head.

Waldo gets through Only's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Waldo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Waldo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Waldo stands and throws Only's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Waldo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Waldo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Only avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Waldo.

Waldo throws an elbow but Only slips to the side and avoids it well.
Waldo takes a little break here. Only wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Waldo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Waldo is staying tight to Only's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Waldo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Only swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Waldo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Only, pushing him back against the ropes.
Only takes a shot to the head.

Only has clasped his hands together around Waldo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Waldo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Only's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Gator Waldo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Waldo manages to get to full guard.
Waldo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Only throws a strike but Waldo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



Waldo moves into range and clinches up with Only.
Only is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Only turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Waldo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Only's best efforts.
Only missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waldo is trying is best to control the position here.
Only thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Waldo's head.
Only really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Waldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Waldo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Waldo tries to get out of the position.

Waldo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Waldo is looking for a sweep. Only is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stand Only has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gator Waldo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Waldo.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gator Waldo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Waldo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Gator Waldo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
In defeat, Stand Only stepped up to the mic, saying 'My plan was to retire on my next lost,because i can't keep losing over and over again the MMA world was not good for me so this was my last fight '.
