The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wolf looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Bear throws a looping overhand right but Wolf ducks down to avoid it.

Howlin Wolf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bear makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Wolf has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wolf takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Howlin Wolf has been cut.

Bear looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bear sets himself, and Wolf steps forward looking for the clinch! Bear avoids it this time.

We've been told by Bear's head coaches at Navy Street MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Wolf lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wolf lands a nice hook to Bear's body. Bear takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bear swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Wolf cracks Bear with a big right hand and Bear goes down!

Wolf postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Bear's head off the mat! Bear is out! He's out! Wolf jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!

After winning the bout, Howlin Wolf thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
