Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Ebbitt (ranked 3837 p4p, 403 weight class) and Emanuel Rodrigez (ranked 4578 p4p, 448 weight class). Ebbitt comes to the cage accompanied by DMX-Ain't No Sunshine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Emanuel Rodrigez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebbitt throws a sloppy head kick

and Rodrigez counters by moving into the clinch.
Rodrigez prevents a takedown attempt there.

Ebbitt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rodrigez walks away with a smile on his face. Ebbitt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rodrigez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ebbitt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ebbitt throws a head kick that misses.
Rodrigez shoots in for a double leg but Ebbitt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tommy Ebbitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emanuel Rodrigez.
Ebbitt moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ebbitt just misses with a punch to the body.
Rodrigez tries to counter with a clinch but Ebbitt shakes him off and moves away.
Ebbitt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rodrigez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rodrigez tries a quick counter leg kick but Ebbitt is wise to it.
Ebbitt cracks Rodrigez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ebbitt moves out of range of the body kick.
Ebbitt drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rodrigez sprawls and moves away.
No joy there for Ebbitt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rodrigez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Rodrigez moves into the clinch.
Rodrigez just leaning against Ebbitt, taking a breather.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ebbitt is trying to pull guard but Rodrigez has him pressed against the cage.

Rodrigez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rodrigez manages to end up in side control.
Ebbitt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Ebbitt is looking to reverse the position.

Ebbitt is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ebbitt is looking for a sweep. Rodrigez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
