Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kim Babbitt !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trevor Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Babbitt lands with a cross.


It looks like Trevor Lawson has been cut.
Babbitt jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lawson swats away the attempt to clinch by Babbitt .
It seemed like Lawson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Babbitt throws a lazy uppercut
and Lawson counters with a straight right hand.
A low kick from Babbitt misses
and Lawson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lawson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lawson ducks under a wild hook from Babbitt .
Lawson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Babbitt .
Babbitt slips a jab from Lawson.
Lawson throws a shot from downtown. Babbitt moves away and avoids it.
Babbitt misses with a body shot
and Lawson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Babbitt ducks under a wild hook from Lawson.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Babbitt , as that shot connected.
Babbitt blocks a jab.
And Babbitt counters with a quick kick to the body but Lawson blocks it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Babbitt darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Babbitt throws a looping overhand right but Lawson ducks down to avoid it.
Babbitt walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lawson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Babbitt swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lawson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kim Babbitt !
An out of breath Kim Babbitt thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Trevor Lawson stepped up to the mic, saying 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. My team at 3Band MMA and I will break down this match and make the proper changes for my next camp.'.
