Fernandez has chosen Battle Symphony as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez throws a right and a left that Mogensen avoids nicely.
Mogensen cracks Fernandez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fernandez keeps Mogensen at a distance using the push kick.

Mogensen moves into the clinch successfully.

Fernandez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mogensen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fernandez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fernandez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mogensen misses the shot to the body.

Mogensen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fernandez avoids it really well and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mogensen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fernandez's waist but Fernandez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mogensen off to one side.
Fernandez is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Mogensen is breathing heavily.

Fernandez manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Fernandez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mogensen defends well and Fernandez ends up having to push Mogensen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mogensen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fernandez is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mogensen has hold of Fernandez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Fernandez seems comfortable defending it but Mogensen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Fernandez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Fernandez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mogensen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
