The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Jordan.
Jordan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jordan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Nascimento counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nascimento slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jordan is trying to control Nascimento's posture but Nascimento avoids it.
Nascimento has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The referee asks Nascimento politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nascimento prefers to stall for the moment though.

Nascimento is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jordan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nascimento gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jordan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nascimento lets go of the hold and Jordan can pop his arm back in it's socket.

After the fight, Romulo Nascimento was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
