Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pierre St. Georges (ranked 152 p4p, 15 weight class) and Rian MacFarlane (ranked 2216 p4p, 196 weight class). St. Georges kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jiu Jitsu. MacFarlane is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Foggy Dew. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacFarlane connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
MacFarlane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from St. Georges.
MacFarlane throws an off balance right hand
and St. Georges counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
MacFarlane's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on MacFarlane's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
St. Georges avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
St. Georges cracks MacFarlane with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Rian MacFarlane has been cut.
MacFarlane throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and St. Georges counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
St. Georges moves out of range as MacFarlane strikes.
St. Georges throws an uppercut from half a mile away. MacFarlane sees it coming and avoids it easily.
MacFarlane lands a jab to the nose.
MacFarlane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looked like St. Georges wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
MacFarlane throws a leg kick but St. Georges checks it.
MacFarlane throws a sloppy head kick and St. Georges moves out of range easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from MacFarlane.
St. Georges throws a series of punches but MacFarlane moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
St. Georges throws a lazy right hand but MacFarlane sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
MacFarlane throws a combination that misses
and St. Georges counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

St. Georges sends MacFarlane crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! St. Georges is motioning to the referee to let MacFarlane up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

MacFarlane is rocked!
MacFarlane throws a jab but it's blocked by St. Georges.
MacFarlane is still on wobbly legs! Can St. Georges finish him?

St. Georges moves into the clinch.

St. Georges creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends MacFarlane's eyes rolling into the back of his head! MacFarlane drops to his knees and St. Georges pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
