Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carson Wood (ranked 4566 p4p, 439 weight class) and Henry Armstrong (ranked 4522 p4p, 436 weight class). Henry Armstrong will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood looks to land a left hand but Armstrong moved out of range nicely.
Wood displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Armstrong throws out the jab.
Wood misses the jab.
Armstrong let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Armstrong connects with a body shot that sends Wood's belly button to the back.

Wood throws a hook but Armstrong blocks it.

Wood is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Armstrong has escaped the position, nice work there.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Armstrong, as that shot connected.
Armstrong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wood manages to avoid it.

Armstrong lands a left and a right that send Wood crashing to the mat, dazed. Armstrong thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Carson Wood has been cut.
Armstrong tries to clinch but Wood is having none of it.
Oh Wood is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Armstrong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That was a close round but I would say that Carson Wood will probably get the nod.
