And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joost Van Buren!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fungus gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Van Buren.
A nice inside leg kick there by Van Buren. That's going to slow Fungus down.
Joost Van Buren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fungus uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Van Buren has time to react.

Fungus is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Fungus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Van Buren jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Van Buren uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fungus.

Fungus gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Van Buren gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Van Buren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fungus manages to avoid it.
Good leg kick by Van Buren there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Van Buren manages to break the clinch.

Van Buren fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fungus lunges at Van Buren with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Van Buren's hand.
Van Buren connects with a looping right hand.
Fungus moves in looking to clinch but Van Buren pushes him off.

Fungus is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Fungus cracks Van Buren with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Van Buren looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Fungus finish him?

Van Buren throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Van Buren is still on wobbly legs! Can Fungus finish him?

Van Buren seems to have recovered his senses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters circling - Van Buren throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fungus cracks Van Buren with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Fungus has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Van Buren to stand back up!
Fungus takes one to the chin there.
Fungus misses with an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Foot Fungus will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Van Buren looks to score with a jab to the body but Fungus is just out of range.
Fungus walks into a jab.
Van Buren uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fungus is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Fungus steps in with a hook that catches Van Buren right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Fungus follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Van Buren looks absolutely devastated.

Foot Fungus very nearly forgot to thank Sin City Allstars amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
