Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Wagner (ranked 2918 p4p, 409 weight class) and Evan Dryll (ranked 2721 p4p, 379 weight class). Wagner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is No Easy Way Out. Evan Dryll has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Dryll!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner misses the jab.
Dryll slips a jab from Wagner.
Wagner misses the jab.
Dryll throws a hook but Wagner avoids it easily.
Wagner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wagner checks the leg kick nicely there.
Dryll displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wagner throws out the jab.

Wagner smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Dryll tries to sprawl but Wagner drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dryll really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wagner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dryll makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dryll.
Wagner landing some decent shots from guard.

Wagner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Wagner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dryll for as long as he can get away with.

Wagner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dryll looks a forlorn figure.
Wagner looking to control but Dryll is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Poor strikes thrown by Wagner there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Wagner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dryll is bucking up trying to escape but Wagner cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wagner prevents Dryll from getting the reversal.
Wagner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dryll's face.

Dryll tries to hold on but Wagner pushes him away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wagner quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Wagner but it's paid off an Dryll is forced to tap! Nice work by Wagner.

A relieved looking Kurt Wagner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
