Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Faustin (ranked 5187 p4p, 480 weight class) and Johnny Submarine (ranked 7937 p4p, 595 weight class). Faustin comes into the arena with Glukoza Schweine blaring out of the sound system. Mikhail Faustin had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faustin looks to land a combination but Submarine avoids it well.
Submarine lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faustin circles away quickly and effectively.
Submarine goes for a double leg but Faustin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Faustin continues to drive forward.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Submarine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like Submarine might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

After the fight, Mikhail Faustin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
