The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baier shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baier showed some decent athleticism there.
Thaichenpaew felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Baier is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Thaichenpaew!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Baier won't let Thaichenpaew get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Baier wants to control the pace but Thaichenpaew is squirming around nicely.

Thaichenpaew really wants to buck Baier off and get back to his feet.

Baier has hold of Thaichenpaew's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Thaichenpaew manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Baier tries to take his opponent's back but Thaichenpaew turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.

Baier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thaichenpaew can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Baier has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Thaichenpaew should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Baier has tightened it up now! Thaichenpaew should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
