Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Vinicius (ranked 4365 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Kasperski (ranked 2769 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcus Vinicius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dawid Kasperski!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vinicius gets tackled into the cage by Kasperski. Kasperski maintains the clinch.
Kasperski fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kasperski tries for a takedown. No joy.

Marcus Vinicius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dawid Kasperski.
Kasperski drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vinicius gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Vinicius is looking to break free of the clinch but Kasperski has double underhooks.
Vinicius drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Vinicius gets control of Kasperski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vinicius will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vinicius is on top in guard.

Vinicius has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kasperski is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vinicius tries to free his leg and advance position but Kasperski is retaining full guard.

Vinicius postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kasperski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kasperski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vinicius as he avoids it easily.

Kasperski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vinicius defends it nicely.

Kasperski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vinicius to the mat! Vinicius manages to get full guard.

Kasperski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Vinicius wants to stand and escape but Kasperski is having none of it.
Kasperski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinicius swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vinicius is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kasperski is aware though and is defending well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kasperski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vinicius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vinicius is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kasperski pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kasperski shoots for a double leg takedown but Vinicius sprawls well. He's pushed Kasperski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looked like Vinicius was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marcus Vinicius will probably get the nod.

Vinicius wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kasperski keeps working.

Vinicius is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kasperski sees it coming and defends easily.

Kasperski is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Vinicius dives in for a single leg takedown but Kasperski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kasperski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kasperski wants it to stay on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

I think Vinicius has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
