Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Guillermo Pato (ranked 889 p4p, 108 weight class) and Warley Alvez (ranked 2994 p4p, 314 weight class). Alvez has chosen NYSNC`-POP as his entrance music. Guillermo Pato has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvez tries a head kick but it misses.
Pato is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Alvez.
Alvez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pato connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alvez scrambles back to his feet.
Alvez feints a jab promting Pato to slip. Alvez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pato slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Guillermo Pato has been cut.
Alvez throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Alvez misses with a wild combination.
Alvez tries a head kick but it misses.

Pato closes the distance and clinches.
Pato lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Alvez tries for a takedown but Pato manages to get underhooks.
Pato lands with a short punch from the clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pato slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alvez is on top in guard.

Pato will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

As Alvez tries to get set, Pato tries to push him back and clinch up but Alvez manages to avoid the attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Pato. That snapped Alvez's head back.
Pato uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alvez.

Pato drops Alvez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alvez looks back up at him and smiles so Pato waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pato creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Are you kidding me?! Pato ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Alvez clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

In his post fight interview, Guillermo Pato started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
