The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arjuna steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wright.
Wright fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Arjuna is out of range.

and Arjuna counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wright thinking.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Arjuna has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Arjuna and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A nice side step and Arjuna releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

As Wright backs off Arjuna throws a huge counter combo but Wright manages to avoid it all.

It seemed like Arjuna was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Wright throws a low kick, looking for Arjuna's leg but Arjuna calmly moves out of range.
Arjuna uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wright.

and Arjuna counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wright's knee momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Arjuna clobbers Wright with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Arjuna cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Arjuna drops Wright with a beautiful combination! Wright stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arjuna is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Wright wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Oh Wright is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wright connects with a good right hand that stumbles Arjuna. Arjuna circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Arjuna steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wright. That one must have hurt.

And Arjuna responds with a good body kick, but Wright manages to step out the way in time.

Cleon Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Arjuna counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

A close round but Rama Arjuna will probably get the nod.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Arjuna in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Arjuna lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Wright sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
