The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickings lands with an overhand left.
Hickings lands with a shot to the body.
Hickings tries a head kick but it misses.
Van Eerden takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hickings throws a sloppy head kick and Van Eerden moves out of range easily.
Hickings closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Van Eerden lands with an overhand left.
Van Eerden misses with a right hand
and Hickings counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A lazy left from Van Eerden finds it's target.
A jab from Hickings does it's job there.

Van Eerden is rocked!
Van Eerden leaves his chin hanging out and Hickings seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Van Eerden crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
