Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Penfold (ranked 5754 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Gonzalez (ranked 4000 p4p, 411 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez drives through with a takedown into guard.

Penfold escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gonzalez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Penfold is trying to control the position but Gonzalez postures up.

Gonzalez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Penfold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonzalez has managed to get both his arms back between Penfold's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Penfold looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gonzalez is one step ahead there.

Gonzalez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Penfold is trying to defend but Gonzalez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Gonzalez lands a big elbow - Penfold is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Gonzalez!
