Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Gomez (ranked 5232 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Rowler (ranked 24516 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomez has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Nick Rowler is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowler stuffs the takedown attempt from Gomez. Gomez gets slowly back to his feet.
Rowler scores with a head kick. Gomez tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Eddie Gomez has been cut.
Rowler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gomez is fending him off so far but Rowler persists. Nope, Gomez circles away and we're back to standing.

Rowler shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomez tries to sprawl out of it but Rowler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gomez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rowler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gomez.
