Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charley Hanagan (ranked 2567 p4p, 359 weight class) and Steven Tauer (ranked 4897 p4p, 604 weight class). Hanagan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Guilty Until Proven Innocent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanagan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hanagan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hanagan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Tauer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hanagan's corner calls for a 1-2. Hanagan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tauer lands with a right hand.
Tauer cracks Hanagan with a good jab.
Hanagan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tauer moves away.
Tauer misses with a looping left.
Steven Tauer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tauer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tauer lands with a cross.
Hanagan scores with a nice right hand.
Hanagan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Tauer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hanagan.
Tauer throws out a counter right but Hanagan avoids it with no problem.
Tauer looks to throw the jab but Hanagan is out of range.
Hanagan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Tauer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hanagan's half guard.

Hanagan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tauer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hanagan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hanagan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tauer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hanagan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tauer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hanagan is tightening it up a little... Tauer has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tauer reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tauer taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hanagan!
