PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nuke Laloosh (ranked 1774 p4p, 268 weight class) and Samuel Kravac (ranked 1604 p4p, 248 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nuke Laloosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Kravac!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kravac shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Laloosh napping and manages to drive through into side control!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kravac working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Kravac wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Laloosh, who protects the arm well.

Kravac swings around for an armbar but Laloosh sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kravac's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laloosh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kravac works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kravac lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Kravac drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Laloosh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kravac has Laloosh in his guard.

Kravac had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Laloosh defends it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Laloosh throws an elbow that misses. Kravac uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Laloosh's guard. Nice move by Kravac!

Laloosh makes his way to full guard, as Kravac worked for a kimura.

Kravac has gone for a leg lock! Laloosh slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kravac's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Laloosh has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nuke Laloosh will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's time! Laloosh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Laloosh throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kravac tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Laloosh is in Kravac's guard.

Laloosh is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kravac is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kravac bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laloosh's guard.

Laloosh postures up in Kravac's guard and throws a big left but Kravac blocks it.

Kravac working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laloosh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laloosh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kravac is trying to control Laloosh's posture but Laloosh avoids it.

Kravac is looking to regain half guard here but Laloosh keeps moving and retains side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nuke Laloosh showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Laloosh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
