Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 3238 p4p, 450 weight class) and Mike Reilly (ranked 1105 p4p, 161 weight class). Reilly comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Whispers - Rock Steady kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reilly instigates a clinch.
Reilly digs a right hand underneath Dux's ribcage. Dux let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dux throws a punch but it's blocked by Reilly.
Reilly lands with a short shot to the head.
Reilly throws a punch but it's blocked by Dux.
Reilly throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Duxs head.

Dux breaks the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reilly. Dux does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dux takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dux throws a hook to the side of Reilly's head but Reilly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dux wants to slow Reilly down by chopping away at his legs.
Dux misses with a hook
and Reilly counters with a left to the body.
Dux throws an off balance right hand
and Reilly counters with a stiff right hand.
Dux throws a sloppy head kick

and Reilly moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dux stalling in the clinch but Reilly improves position.

Reilly tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Dux is trying to push Reilly away but Reilly has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Reilly creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Reilly connects with a looping right hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Reilly.
Frank Dux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reilly darts in and clinches Dux up against the cage.
Reilly working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.


Dux is rocked!
Reilly misses with a punch on the inside.
Oh Dux is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dux is trying to break the clinch but Reilly is controlling him.

Dux seems to have got his legs back now.

Dux breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dux lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Reilly lands with a good body shot.
A head kick misses from Dux.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reilly. Dux does a little dance to reset his feet.

Reilly clinches up against the cage.
Reilly lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dux backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from Reilly.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Dux.
Reilly scores with a nice hook to the head.
Reilly has Dux pressed against the cage, preventing Dux from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Reilly throws a big uppercut that drops Dux! More strikes from Reilly and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Dux lies dazed against the cage as Reilly celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Reilly!
A very excited looking Mike Reilly made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
