The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feliciano throws a series of punches but Rodriguez moves out of range.
Raul Feliciano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Feliciano.
Rodriguez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Feliciano was well out of range. Poor timing from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rodriguez with a nice cross.
Feliciano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rodriguez takes one on the button.
Rodriguez lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Rodriguez throws a head kick but Feliciano moves out of range.
We've been informed that Rodriguez has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Feliciano closes the distance and clinches.

Rodriguez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Rodriguez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Feliciano pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rodriguez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rodriguez lands in his opponent's guard.

Feliciano is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Rodriguez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Feliciano gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A short body shot lands from Feliciano as the two fighters clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Feliciano is looking to break free of the clinch but Rodriguez has double underhooks.
Rodriguez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Feliciano walks away with a smile on his face. Rodriguez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Raul Feliciano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Rodriguez.
Rodriguez doesn't manage to clinch there - Feliciano circles away.
Raul Feliciano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rodriguez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Feliciano moves away.
Feliciano lands a right hook to the body.
Feliciano lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rodriguez tries to clinch
and Feliciano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Feliciano catches Rodriguez with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Rodriguez forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
