Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rutger Howard!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard tries to keep at a distance but Singh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Howard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Singh clinches up with Howard and pushes him back against the cage.
Howard lands a shoulder strike.
Howard tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Howard tries a body shot but Singh blocks it.
Howard misses with some punches.
Howard can't find room to land a body shot as Singh controls the action.
Howard lands a shot to the body.
Singh is pushing Howard up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Howard looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

You get the feeling that Howard really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Singh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Howard, pushing him back against the cage.

Singh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Singh lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Howard.


It looks like Rutger Howard has been cut.
Singh trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Howard doesn't escape.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Howard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Singh.
Howard tries to bum rush Singh with a series of wild strikes but Singh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Howard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Singh clinches up with Howard and pushes him back against the cage.

Howard lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Singh backwards.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Singh takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Howard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rutger Howard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Howard tries to clinch but Singh is having none of it.

Singh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Howard lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Howard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Howard is fighting off a takedown attempt but Singh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Howard to the mat. Howard regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Singh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Howard for as long as he can get away with.

Howard is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Singh is controlling him well.
The referee asks Singh politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Singh prefers to stall for the moment though.
Singh moves into full mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Singh is landing with some decent strikes but Howard is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dalip Singh showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Singh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
