Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Diggs!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson dives in and grabs Diggs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diggs pushes down on Wilson's head and hops out.
We've been hearing reports that Wilson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Diggs gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wilson.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wilson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Diggs tries to score with a low kick but Wilson moves his leg out of the way.
The fighters circling - Diggs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Diggs lands a nice hook to Wilson's body. Wilson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Diggs throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wilson escapes and throws Diggs's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Wilson is trying to move to mount but Diggs reverses beautifully and ends up in Wilson's guard.
Wilson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diggs is controlling him.

Diggs stands up over Wilson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wilson is trying to control the position but Diggs postures up.
Diggs throws a big right hand that misses.
Diggs throws an elbow that misses. Wilson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diggs's guard. Nice move by Wilson!

Wilson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diggs keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Diggs on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Wilson is trying to control the action in half guard but Diggs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Diggs wants to get back to full guard but Wilson has passed into side control.
Diggs is looking for a sweep.

Diggs uses his free foot to push down on Wilson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wilson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diggs unloads with some shots from mount but Wilson bucks and avoids them well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Sam Wilson has been cut.
Diggs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diggs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Diggs wants to hit a switch here but Wilson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Diggs there!

Diggs can't escape the position.
Wilson content just to control the position here.

Robert Diggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Wilson takes one to the side of the head.

Wilson has closed the distance and engaged Diggs in a clinch.
Diggs lands a nice uppercut.
Diggs pushes Wilson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Diggs lands with a short head shot on the inside.


Wilson is rocked!
Diggs creates a bit of distance for himself, with Wilson pressed up against the cage and cracks Wilson with a massive uppercut! Wilson goes down! He's out cold! Wow, that was some serious power there by Diggs!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Robert Diggs!
An out of breath Robert Diggs thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
