Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Renato Mccullough (ranked 24915 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Betadyne (ranked 4971 p4p, 470 weight class). George Betadyne acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Betadyne closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Betadyne pulls Mccullough into guard.
Betadyne pulls Mccullough in close to prevent any damage.
Betadyne thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Mccullough throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mccullough wants to stand but Betadyne is controlling his posture from full guard.
Betadyne avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mccullough working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Betadyne's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Betadyne manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mccullough manages to get himself to full guard.

Betadyne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mccullough swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mccullough has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Betadyne.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Betadyne gets control of Mccullough's arms and successfully pulls guard. Betadyne will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Let's hope that Betadyne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mccullough has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Betadyne is working away from the top position though.

Betadyne remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
