Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Harris (ranked 651 p4p, 30 weight class) and Ole Anderson (ranked 824 p4p, 38 weight class). Anderson has chosen HEADED SOUTH -by DOWN as his entrance music. Ole Anderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ole Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Topper Green and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the cage. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harris sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat.
It looked like Harris was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Anderson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Ole Anderson has been cut.
Anderson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Harris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Anderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Harris!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Harris tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Harris is looking for a sweep.
Harris is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it.
Harris tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Harris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harris has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Harris is looking to reverse the position.
Anderson takes a little break here. Harris wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Anderson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harris, who protects the arm well.
Harris is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Anderson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harris is not content to let Anderson control the position.

Harris tries to bench press Anderson off him but Anderson keeps the position.

Anderson is trying to get an arm triangle but Harris is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ole Anderson dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Harris looks for the body kick but Anderson saw that one coming.
Harris throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anderson throws a hook but Harris avoids it easily.
Harris scores with the left hand. Anderson knows he should have avoided that one.
Horrible takedown attempt by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Harris, which made it look bad.
Anderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Harris appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

and Harris counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Anderson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jason Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ole Anderson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson fails with the takedown
and Harris counters with a straight right hand.
Harris throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Harris jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Harris lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Anderson feints and as Harris raises his hands in defense, Anderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Harris is trying to keep Anderson in close.
Anderson stopping the sweep attempt from Harris.
Harris manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.


Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Harris trying to stand up but can't free himself from Anderson's guard.
Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Anderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Harris stands up and waves to Anderson to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harris sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Harris misses with a leg kick.
Nice body punch from Harris.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harris feints a jab promting Anderson to slip. Harris then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Anderson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Anderson misses with a left hand
enabling Harris to counter with a crisp jab.
Anderson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Harris counters with a big left hand that crumples Anderson! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jason Harris!
A very excited looking Jason Harris made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Ole Anderson had this to say: 'Im.....speechless.....hats off to My opponent he caught me but I will be back no doubt.'.
