The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a body punch but Daniels moves out of range.
Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Daniels drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Johnson defends it well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Daniels.
Daniels tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.
Daniels throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daniels off to one side.
Daniels shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Isaiah Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Daniels.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniels tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Daniels will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Daniels misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Daniels forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches.
Daniels tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.
Johnson lands a big right hand that sends Daniels crashing to the mat! Johnson stays standing though and waves Daniels back to his feet!
Daniels is rocked!
It looks like Shawn Daniels has been cut.
Johnson Throws a clean left jab. Johnson Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Daniels's chin! Daniels crumbles to the ground and Johnson follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Johnson!

Isaiah Johnson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
