PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Trowning (ranked 908 p4p, 94 weight class) and Wolfgang Muller (ranked 1089 p4p, 112 weight class). Trowning comes to the cage accompanied by Shotgun - backyard brawl. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muller gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Muller lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Trowning backs up against the cage.
Trowning needs to keep his hands up - Muller had a free shot at his head there.
Muller throws a low kick but Trowning moves out of range easily.
Trowning on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Muller misses the target.

and Muller counters with a nice right hand that sends Trowning toppling to the canvas! Trowning scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Muller finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Muller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Trowning finds it's way round the side to connect with Muller's head.
Trowning throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Muller stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Trowning takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Muller throws a head kick that misses

Muller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Trowning.
Muller swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A looping hook to the body misses from Muller. Trowning does a little dance to reset his feet.

Trowning walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Trowning has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Wolfgang Muller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muller takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A solid leg kick lands there for Muller.
Trowning jabs Muller right on the nose. Muller blinks but takes it well.

Trowning tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Muller was well out of range. Poor timing from Trowning.

Trowning is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Trowning takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Trowning counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Trowning misses with an uppercut. Muller saw that one coming.
Trowning fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Muller manages to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Trowning on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Muller misses with a double jab
and Trowning counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Muller has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Muller there as he acknowledges the shot.
Muller ducks right into an uppercut from Trowning.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Trowning cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Trowning misses with a hook. Muller ducked under it nicely.
Trowning takes a swing at Muller's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Henry Trowning will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Muller.
Trowning swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Muller was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trowning stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Muller.
Muller is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Trowning throws a body shot but no joy.

Trowning swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Trowning looks to land a left hand but Muller moved out of range nicely.
Trowning throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Trowning takes one to the chin there.
Muller throws a leg kick but Trowning sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Muller connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Trowning momentarily.

Muller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Trowning.

Muller cracks Trowning with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Muller has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Trowning to stand back up!
Oh Trowning is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Muller dances in with a quick combination. Trowning is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Muller snaps Trowning's head back. Trowning stumbles backwards against the cage. Muller steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Trowning's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Trowning just didn't come prepared.
