Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Sands (ranked 3087 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 17396 p4p, 0 weight class). Sands comes into the arena with Hip Hop - By: Dead Prez blaring out of the sound system. Khalidov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

My spies in Winds of Winter inform me that Khalidov has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Carl Sands has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Khalidov.
