PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ralphie Harrell (ranked 1461 p4p, 167 weight class) and Giorgio Carsara (ranked 2168 p4p, 240 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carsara misses the shot to the body.
Carsara misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carsara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harrell was well out of range. Poor timing from Carsara .
A right-left combo lands from Carsara .
Harrell misses with a body kick.
Carsara now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Carsara . Harrell does a little dance to reset his feet.
Carsara lands a really nice looking cross but Harrell seems unphased.

Carsara has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Carsara throws a right and a left that Harrell avoids nicely.
Harrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Harrell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carsara quickly recovers to half guard.

Harrell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carsara doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harrell.
Carsara has hold of Harrell's hands but Harrell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Harrell looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Carsara wants to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carsara can do anything to dispel that myth.

Harrell is nestled in close to Carsara , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Harrell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Carsara wants to stand and escape but Harrell is having none of it.
Carsara has momentary wrist control but Harrell slips an elbow through the middle.
Harrell has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Carsara is trying to escape back to his feet but Harrell uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Harrell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carsara , who protects the arm well.

Harrell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carsara keeps working.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Harrell! Carsara is hurt baaadly! Harrell is firing away with more strikes - Carsara is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
