Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anatoly Gorbachenko (ranked 1040 p4p, 155 weight class) and Bobby Wangler (ranked 761 p4p, 119 weight class). Wangler is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Clash - I Fought The Law. Anatoly Gorbachenko has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Wangler!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorbachenko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gorbachenko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wangler doesn't seem bothered though.

Wangler tries to bum rush Gorbachenko with a series of wild strikes but Gorbachenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gorbachenko feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wangler's calf.
Gorbachenko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gorbachenko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wangler avoids the head kick by Gorbachenko.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wangler! But no joy.

Gorbachenko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Wangler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Gorbachenko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wangler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gorbachenko moves away.

Bobby Wangler dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Anatoly Gorbachenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gorbachenko is looking for a sweep. Wangler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wangler connects with a nice short shot to Gorbachenko's temple.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wangler lands a nice short elbow.
Wangler looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gorbachenko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.


Gorbachenko is rocked!
Wangler lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Oh Gorbachenko is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wangler looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Wangler lands a big elbow - Gorbachenko is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Wangler!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Wangler!
After winning the bout, Bobby Wangler thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
