Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarred Hyde (ranked 24894 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Williams (ranked 5823 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Kevin Gates Intro Edition as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jarred Hyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Peter Williams!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams tries to sprawl but Hyde drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hyde thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Williams's head.
Hyde looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hyde seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Hyde is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Williams trying to control but Hyde postures up.
Williams blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hyde.
Hyde winds up and cracks Williams with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Williams is trying to maintain the position but Hyde is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hyde postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Williams to stand up.

Williams shoots in and bounces Hyde off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hyde is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hyde is working hard here to advance position.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Williams tries to stand but Hyde is controlling from the bottom.
Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Hyde has wrist control.
Hyde scores with a short punch from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hyde has Williams pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hyde rushes Williams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Williams goes for a takedown attempt but Hyde pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hyde drives through and clinches with Williams against the cage.

Hyde escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hyde tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hyde somewhat.
Hyde misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hyde tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Williams lands a nice looking body shot.

Hyde scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Williams is looking to regain half guard here but Hyde keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hyde landing a few strikes.

Hyde tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hyde lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Williams down.

Hyde has an Americana. Williams didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hyde is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hyde hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
