The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonnard looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bonnard looking to sit in guard and control but Randall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bonnard is pulling down on Randall's head. It's preventing any offense from Randall, at least for the moment.
Bonnard wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randall showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bonnard throws his legs up looking for a submission but Randall uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randall decides to stand back up.

Bonnard drives through and clinches with Randall against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Bonnard's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Randall creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Bonnard is trying to break the clinch but Randall is controlling him.

Bonnard has picked Randall up - he's going for a ride! Bonnard dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bonnard stops Randall from getting back to his feet.
Bonnard is keen to just control but Randall is a slippery customer.
Bonnard tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Randall.
Randall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bonnard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bonnard's back!

Randall is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bonnard knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bonnard for a finish.
