Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Fury (ranked 305 p4p, 14 weight class) and Akamu Kalani (ranked 1038 p4p, 38 weight class). Kalani has chosen Astrix - Deep Jungle Walk as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

21 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Fury!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akamu Kalani!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury moves out of range as Kalani strikes.
Kalani misses with an uppercut.
Fury is looking to counter with head kicks.
A jab from Kalani misses.
Akamu Kalani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fury shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kalani defends it nicely.
Fury bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kalani manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Fury is taking a breather. Kalani says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kalani really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kalani tries to get to full guard but Fury has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fury is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kalani is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
