The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dover counters with a right hand to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Dover. That snapped Thompson's head back.
Dover lands a nice hook to Thompson's body. Thompson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
John Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thompson darts in and clinches Dover up against the cage.
