Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Collis (ranked 24721 p4p, 581 weight class) and Mike Gill (ranked 8309 p4p, 567 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Gill!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gill is looking to clinch.
Collis slaps away a takedown attempt from Gill, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Collis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Collis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gill tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Gill is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Gill swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Gill flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Collis working for a submission but Gill is keeping him at bay.

Collis wants to get back to his feet but Gill is holding on tight.
Gill bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gill drops back, looking for a kneebar! Collis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Collis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Collis!
Gill throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Gill throws a few rabbit punches from the bottom. Collis was waiting for it though - now Gill's arm is in the perfect position for an arm triangle - he's tightening it up and Gill is forced to tap out before he takes a nap! Very clever counter grappling there from Collis!
