Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Badou Baha (ranked 1724 p4p, 268 weight class) and Charlie Cross (ranked 3328 p4p, 462 weight class). Cross comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In My Feelings kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Charlie Cross was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Baha sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It looked like Baha wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Baha misses with a left hand
and Cross makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Baha throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
It seemed like Cross was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Baha throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fighters circling - Baha throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice defenses there by Baha.
Cross tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baha paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cross lands a head shot.

and Cross cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Baha throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cross looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baha throws a combination. Cross tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Baha throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cross on the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baha connects with a single shot there.
Cross looks to throw the jab but Baha is out of range.
Baha is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cross darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Badou Baha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cross throws a body shot but no joy.
Baha looks to throw the jab but Cross is out of range.
Baha lands a head shot.
Baha closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cross! Baha dives in looking to finish! Cross is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
