Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerry Rodriquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Walker!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walker showed some decent athleticism there.
Walker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rodriquez has his hands clasped together around Walker's back. He's all about the action.
Rodriquez is trying to control but can't.
Rodriquez trying to get back to full guard but Walker takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Rodriquez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriquez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rodriquez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rodriquez trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rodriquez won't allow Walker to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriquez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Rodriquez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rodriquez drops back looking for a leg! Walker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walker manages to kick Rodriquez off! Rodriquez jumps back into Walker's guard.
Walker looking for subs off his back but Rodriquez has passed one foot through into half guard.
Walker looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rodriquez wants to work for an arm triangle but Walker is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rodriquez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Walker defend it? Rodriquez steps over the head and cranks it - Walker is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rodriquez!
